NationWares Spotting: Jena Sims
Location: New York City
Product: NEW Safari Necklace
When you’re part of the NationWares team you have the awesome privilege of meeting some of the world’s most amazing people. Jena Sims is certainly one we won’t forget anytime soon. This summer our CEO Amie Mariana Sider got to meet Jena while traveling to NYC as a Do Something Awards semi-finalist. Naturally, Amie and Jena connected over their love of fashion and helping others in need. You may recognize Jena from her roles on CSI, Vampire Diaries, Entourage, Dexter, One Tree Hill, the Attack of the 50ft. Cheerleader, or as the Miss Georgia Teen USA winner in 2006.
We know Jena mainly through her incredible Pageant of Hope that holds fun & non competitive pageants for children facing cancer and other serious challenges. Each participant becomes a pageant king or queen for a day and everyone goes home with awards in the greatest categories like best smile making it the greatest and most rewarding pageant ever! That’s why we love Jena and this project so much!
The Safari Necklace supports women in Kenya who are facing and overcoming many challenges of their own. We are so thankful to Jena for wearing it and supporting our international work as we transform lives, turning the most vulnerable in society into community leaders.
Thanks for sharing the love Jena!
The NationWares Team
P.S if you would like a Safari Necklace of your own we will be launching them in our online store Monday November 26th!
